JG SPEEDFIT KAWASAKI PEDIGREE

GBmoto Racing was formed in 2000 and first celebrated success in the World and UK Endurance Championships before winning the UK Endurance Championship in 2004, 2007 and 2008.

The team first raced in the MCE British Superbike paddock in 2011 in the National Superstock Championship before moving up to the MCE BSB class for the 2012 season. Quigley scored the team their first points of the season at Oulton Park with the team scoring their best result last season at Oulton Park when Peter Hickman finished sixth.

The team switched to Kawasaki machinery for the 2014 season, as James Ellison and Chris Walker got off to a flying start to score GBmoto Racing's maiden podium finish in the premier class at the opening round at Brands Hatch. Walker made the Showdown for the first time for both himself and the team, whilst Ellison had to fight back from injury after a huge crash at Brands Hatch. He heroically fought back to finish on the podium before the end of the season and returned for 2015 alongside James Westmoreland.

In 2015 Ellison was again a race winner and Showdown contender, however a crash at Thruxton left him fighting back from injury, but he is back with the team for 2016 and ready to fight for the title. The team have expanded to three riders for the new campaign with World and British Superbike runner-up Leon Haslam returning to the series with Peter Hickman moving to Team Green.

With a combination of the new Kawasaki and three of the strongest riders on the grid, I truly believe we have the right package to win our debut MCE British Superbike Championship title. It's up to us now, to turn that into a reality. Mark Smith-Halvorsen, Team Owner
