The Hawk Racing team is managed by Stuart Hicken, who after retiring from competitive racing worked on Grand Prix bikes for a decade before switching to team management, forming his own team before entering the British Superbike Championship in 1998.
The team immediately racked up the results, winning the Cup championship in their debut season with Phil Giles before they scored their first BSB podium with Glen Richards in 2003 and followed it up with a maiden race win with Scott Smart in 2004.
Hicken's team were victorious in the National Superstock 1000 Championship in 2011 as Richard Cooper won the title.
The team have already shown strong progress this season with Linfoot scoring the team their first top ten finish since switching to BMW machinery with a ninth place at Oulton Park.
The new regulations really suit our team and the BMW S1000RR and our aim is to make the top six in the Showdown. After winning the National Superstock 1000 Championship last season we will also be making a determined effort to retain our title. 2012 looks set to be another exciting year for the team.
