GBmoto Racing was formed in 2000 and first celebrated success in the World and UK Endurance Championships before winning the UK Endurance Championship in 2004, 2007 and 2008.

The team first raced in the British Superbike paddock in 2011 in the National Superstock Championship before moving up to the BSB class for the season ahead.

The team have already signed Tristan Palmer, who achieved three wins, five podiums, a pole position and a new lap record, with the Sussex based outfit in 2011. An involvement in racing over the last 25 years and a strong team structure and work ethic, means that GBmoto Racing should continue to surprise even their most experienced rivals.

The team progressed to the premier class this season and qualified on the front row with Palmer at the opening round, whilst Quigley scored the team their first points of the season at Oulton Park. The team continue to develop the purple Honda Fireblades and could spring a surprise on the predicted title contenders very soon.

We know how tough the step up in class is going to be in 2012, but it has always been our intention to go Superbike racing and win - so let’s get on with the job of learning fast and putting a solid season together. Tristan is an asset to our team; he has good Superbike experience and I know he is going to surprise people next year and he is joined by Luke Quigley. We considered many options in detail, before making the decision to use Hondas. I think most are already aware of excellent balance of the chassis and the performance it can produce whilst complying with next year's technical regulations. For us, it also allows us to make the most of our in house knowledge and experience, whilst retaining an independence; which I think is healthy in this sporting environment.
