The 2010 British 125GP Championship provided some of the closest and intense on track battles as the champions of tomorrow fought it out for the title, the championship was retained by James Lodge for the second consecutive year. This year Lodge is set to progress to the National Superstock 600 Championship. 2010 also saw the battle of the sons with Taylor Mackenzie and Dakota Mamola on track fighting for victories. Taylor now progresses onto the World Championship in a two year deal including a second year in the Moto3 class.
Rob Guiver will also be hoping it is third time lucky for his Championship challenge. Runner up in 2009 and 2010 the 25 year old will be looking to go one better.
The class is closely watched by some of the major players not only in the UK but also further afield with five riders also competing in the MotoGP Rookies Cup in 2010. Once again the ACU Academy Cup class will distinguish 13-16 year old riders with an end of season prize of paid entries to the final two rounds of the CEV (Spanish) Championship.
