The single make tyre rule in MCE BSB sees Pirelli return as the tyre supplier for the seventh consecutive season. The ruling was introduced to the series to ensure a fairer tyre supply and provide more of a level playing field, ultimately providing a closer, more thrilling race series.
Pirelli has developed a range of Diablo tyres for both the Superbike and Supersport championships, giving a choice of three different specifications of dry Diablo front and rear tyres. Wet and Intermediate tyre choices are also available across both championships in the form of the Diablo Rain and Diablo Wet products.
A team of 17 tyre technicians will supply and fit around 5500 Pirelli tyres for both BSB and BSS classes over a race weekend. The technicians are backed up by two technical co-ordinators who work directly with the race teams to advise and analyse throughout practice and qualifying.
The new Pirelli Diablo tyres are available for all competitors and trackday customers. The new compounds of the Pirelli Diablo Superbike tyres come with SC1 and SC2 front options and SC0 and SC1 rear, with '0' being the softest and '2' the hardest solutions. The tyres are designed for sustained performance and high grip characteristics.

Established in 1998, Motorpoint is the UK's leading car supermarket, delivering happiness to UK customers who had historically paid more for their new and nearly new cars than almost anywhere else in Europe.
From the outset, Motorpoint has been redressing that balance, creating a simple and straightforward transparent pricing policy. Our buying power enables us to bulk purchase a wide selection of cars from suppliers across the UK and Europe at competitive prices - meaning we pass those savings directly onto our customers. In addition, we aim to offer unrivalled choice, value and service, making us the Car Buyer's Champion.
Motorpoint was founded by Managing Director, David Shelton (as well as former Managing Director, Gary Warren), who has a wealth of car buying skill and expertise, growing the business significantly since its inception.
The company has sold over 400,000 cars since it began and now sells a car every four minutes. Motorpoint's unique approach to selling cars has saved its customers over £90 million on prices charged by franchised dealers. This equates to a saving of around £5,000 on every car sold - quite a significant amount for families to save.
Motorpoint is the only car supermarket to have sold a car to every postcode in the UK - quite an achievement considering it currently has six UK sites in Derby (where its Head Office is based), Burnley, Glasgow, Newport, Peterborough and most recently Chingford.www.motorpoint.co.uk
