The single make tyre rule in MCE BSB sees Pirelli return as the tyre supplier for the seventh consecutive season. The ruling was introduced to the series to ensure a fairer tyre supply and provide more of a level playing field, ultimately providing a closer, more thrilling race series.

Pirelli has developed a range of Diablo tyres for both the Superbike and Supersport championships, giving a choice of three different specifications of dry Diablo front and rear tyres. Wet and Intermediate tyre choices are also available across both championships in the form of the Diablo Rain and Diablo Wet products.

A team of 17 tyre technicians will supply and fit around 5500 Pirelli tyres for both BSB and BSS classes over a race weekend. The technicians are backed up by two technical co-ordinators who work directly with the race teams to advise and analyse throughout practice and qualifying.

The new Pirelli Diablo tyres are available for all competitors and trackday customers. The new compounds of the Pirelli Diablo Superbike tyres come with SC1 and SC2 front options and SC0 and SC1 rear, with '0' being the softest and '2' the hardest solutions. Powering into 2013, outdoor power tool company STIHL GB has re-signed as an Official Sponsor of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship. 2013 marks the sixth consecutive year of BSB sponsorship for STIHL and demonstrates its appreciation of the action of this high speed motorsport.

The calendar will comprise eight rounds at prestigious UK circuits and Assen in the Netherlands and there will be two points scoring races per round.

The MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship, the UK's premier motorsport series has announced a partnership with luxury watch manufacturer BRM Chronographes. 

As the official timekeeper of MCE BSB, the globally-renowned BRM Chronographes logo will be identified and credited on the official live timing service at MCE BSB events and in the associated timing and data TV graphics. They will also enjoy a comprehensive package of premium marketing rights in association with the MCE BSB brand.

BRM Chronographes will provide unique trophies to the winners of the newly created BRM Vitesse Award which will record the combined best lap time performance over the qualifying practice and race elements of each MCE BSB event.  

BRM Chronographes will also present a luxury V6-44-Hybride watch to each of the six MCE BSB title fighters, the winning team manager and to the Motorpoint British Supersport Champion.

In addition and in the future BRM Chronographes will produce a special limited edition BSB watch.

The MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship (BSB) has chosen the UK's largest car producer, Nissan for the coveted status of its official vehicle supplier.

The agreement between BSB series commercial rights holder MSVR and Nissan Motor GB continues until 2013, which sees a fleet of thirteen vehicles comprising six different models deployed in various demanding roles.

Two 3.8 Nissan GT-Rs, each capable of 196mph will act as safety cars, ready to be dispatched to control a field of 200bhp Superbikes and to chase the first racing lap.

Three Qashqai+2 medical cars will provide fast medical intervention.

A 3.7 V6 370Z will act as a course car for the Race Direction and other track officials whilst the winners will be paraded in a Navara.

Nissans award winning LCV fleet will provide trackside and logistics support specifically utilising new NV400 models.

Nissan Motor GB Corporate Sales Director James Douglas said: "Nissan are delighted to be associated with the UK's premier motorsport series. Eurosport Television has secured the long term exclusive worldwide television and online rights to the prestigious British Superbike Championship.

Following the success of the previous seasons MotorSport Vision, which owns the rights to BSB, and Eurosport has agreed a five year broadcasting deal, enabling the digital sports channel to retain the domestic UK Superbike championships up to 2015.

One-hour highlights programmes from each of the twelve MCE BSB events will be shown on ITV4 on the Wednesday evening after the race weekend and then repeated on Saturday afternoons. Each programme will have a further repeat on ITV 1, as well as being available free to view on the ITV Player on itv.com.
