Brands Hatch is one of the most iconic sporting venues in the world and can lay claim to being the busiest race circuit in Europe. Having undergone a series of major improvements in recent years, the Kent circuit now attracts some of the biggest international events on the calendar. Ever since starting out as a dirt track motorcycle circuit in 1926, Brands Hatch has been characterised by its natural ampitheatre, with virtually the entire 'Indy' configuration visible from the spectator banking and grandstands. A firm fans' favourite, Brands Hatch has also witnessed a number of significant moments in history.

Race one:

Alastair Seeley celebrated a maiden BSB race win as he mastered the wet conditions to fend off Michael Rutter. Ryuichi Kiyonari got the best start off the line, but as the pack reached Druids Michael Rutter took the lead. Seeley then became the third race leader in as many corners to lead the field as they reached Graham Hill Bend. Seeley pushed at the front as Rutter chased him hard with the gap between the pair changing every lap, but in the end Suzuki reigned. Kiyonari took third as he fended off Josh Brookes who was forced to settle for fourth. Tom Sykes ended the race in fifth from Michael Laverty, who managed to pass James Ellison on the penultimate lap. Yukio Kagayama finished eighth as Tommy Hill struggled and finished 15th.

Race two:

Tom Sykes celebrated his first BSB race win since 2008 as the Kawasaki WSB team secured the win as he fended off the challenges of Ryuichi Kiyonari. Josh Brookes, Tommy Hill and Ryuichi Kiyonari were now equal on points in the overall standings going into the final race of the day. Michael Rutter had led with Kiyonari in second and Sykes in third. Sykes then took second place from Kiyonari on the opening lap. Rutter held the lead until the fourth lap when Sykes repeated his previous passing manoeuvre at Clearways to take the lead and putKawasakiat the front. Sykes held the lead, but Kiyonari was up to second following a determined on Rutter and then was shadowing theKawasaki. However, despite looking to pass throughout the closing laps he was unable to make it stick and had to settle for second with Rutter holding third. Michael Laverty had climbed to fourth and was coming under from pressure James Ellison, but Laverty was able to hold the advantage to the finish. Tommy Hill fought his way through to finish sixth after making the move on Stuart Easton.

Race three:

Tom Sykes celebrated a second victory as the Kawasaki WSB team held off Ryuichi Kiyonari. Michael Laverty got off to a flying start from pole but Kiyonari passed on the run to Druids. Laverty then dropped another place to third as Sykes made a move on the exit of Surtees and moved to second. Kiyonari was coming under pressure from Sykes and he stole the lead. The HM Plant Honda rider shadowed his Kawasaki rival as he strived to regain the lead. Laverty lost third place to Michael Rutter as he had a moment coming out of Sheene Curve. Laverty held third after regaining the position from Rutter, but just three laps later he crashed out, whilst Alastair Seeley also ended up in the gravel. Tommy Hill had a steady race to finish in a lone fourth place as the battle raged for fifth between James Ellison and Josh Brookes. The pair diced throughout the race but the Swan Honda rider made a last lap move to steal fifth place.
